Unfortunately I went to Dr. Costagliola years ago for 2 implants. He gave me anesthesia and made me wait almost an hour before he came back! It almost wore off. Within a year one got infected and I had to go in on an emergency (not to him for sure) and it was removed. About 12 years later I now have the other one falling out!! I can’t eat and it’s at night so have to wait until tomorrow to hopefully get it fixed. I’m hoping it’s just the screw that’s loose. I would advise everyone NOT to go to this horrible uncaring and unskilled dentist! What a nightmare this is! He was treating people in many rooms at the same time. Go anywhere else!!!

I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. He was negligent in extracting a tooth that was not the tooth I was having pain.in, Then trying to convince me it was the right one…initially telling me a “probable crack” looking at my xray not explaining what number tooth he was looking at. Then after extraction “it was. Bad root canal”. It was neither, after the extraction I remained with the excruciating pain causing me extreme anxiety throughout the Christmas holidays. Adding insult to injury I was treated disrespectfully for what I was going through by this office for disregarding my complaints by telling me the pain will go away. Afterward going to ent doctors, another oral surgeon the diagnosis was not a tooth problem but facial neuralgia which has been treated with medication. This dentist could have told me he did not find a problem with any of my teeth, instead caused me pain and suffering. The worst experience ever in a professional office.

I highly recommend Dr. Costagliola. Not only is he professional and knowledgeable, Dr. Costagliola is also kind, understanding, and gentle. He is helping me recover from a terrible experience that I had with another dental practice on Staten Island. His office staff- Laura, and Grace, treated me with respect and compassion, which did not happen in my previous experience. For the first time since my oral surgery debacle I feel hopeful. Don’t bother going anywhere else, Dr. Costagliola is the best!

One of the best oral surgeons on staten island. His rating should be 5/5. The wait can be long but its because he is amazing and everyone goes to him. I got all 4 wisdom teeth out and 2 of them were impacted and I also did a bone graft dental implant with him. Always wonderful and never any issues. Healed beautifully. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

My son who is 13 years old had a tooth extraction scheduled and waited 4 hours to be seen by Dr . Costagliola. After waiting 4 hours I am told I need to leave the room. Do yourself a favor , there are plenty of good dentists out there. #drcostagliola
